Requirements to Apply:



  • Fluent Bilingual: Spanish/English REQUIRED



  • Registered Dental Assistant License in California active and in good standing 



  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assisting Program - Required. High School or GED certificate -Required



  • Certifications: Dental Assistant Certificate, Radiation Safety Certificate, Infection Control Certificate, CA Dental Practice Act Certificate, CPR or BLS card. 



  • Coronal Polishing & Pit and Fissure Sealants Certificate required within 60 days of hire.



  • At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant + RDA license




 


The Registered Dental Assistant assists the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instrument supplies.


 




Schedule & Location: 



  • Palmdale Home Base- Monday- Friday at Palmdale, and 1-2 Saturdays per month required at Lancaster Clinic

    • If you are booked for a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off



  • Lancaster Home Base- Tuesday - Friday at Lancaster and 1-2 Saturdays per month required; Monday float to Palmdale

    • May occasionally (rarely) float to other Palmdale on Weekdays to support call offs

    • If you are booked for a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off






Times: 7:45 am - 5:00 pm




Pay Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 (Depending on years of experience and knowledge)




 




Responsibilities:







    • The Registered Dental Assistant serves as dentist chair side assistant 







    • Assist patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by dentist







    • Prepares operation procedure for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions







    • Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law







    • Maintains all Dental Department equipment in accordance with manufacturer's directions







    • Maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assist dental director, dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly 







    • Receives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with a professional manner







    • May be required to preform front office duties such as: Scheduling, confirming appointments, verify insurance, check patients in and out, collect co-pay, and manage balance due
