Addiction Medicine Lead Physician
Join our Novato, CA team as a Lead Addiction Medicine Physician
Compensation: $225,000 – $270,000/year + up to $120k signing bonus + relocation assistance
Schedule: Full-time (0.5 FTE Primary Care, 0.3 FTE Clinical Addiction Leadership, 0.2 FTE Admin Leadership)
Requirements to Apply:
- MD or DO with a valid California medical license (or ability to obtain).
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Addiction Medicine.
- At least 3 years of experience in addiction medicine OR completion of a relevant fellowship.
- Passion for community health and experience working with underserved populations preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish or a willingness to learn is a plus.
- Experience with EPIC EHR is helpful, but not required.
Job Overview:
Addiction Medicine Leadership (50%)
- Serve as the medical lead for our integrated SUD treatment team (PCPs, psychiatry, behavioral health, and case management).
- Develop and implement standardized, evidence-based policies, training programs, and clinical support tools.
- Provide mentorship and real-time consultation to MCC providers managing SUD cases.
- Monitor quality metrics and contribute to risk management and safety practices.
- Represent MCC in external collaborations at the local, county, and state levels.
Primary Care (50%)
- Provide compassionate, high-quality primary care to a panel of diverse patients.
- Prescribe, refer, and coordinate care across specialties using an interdisciplinary team model.
- Contribute to weekend and on-call coverage on a limited and compensated basis.
