Requirements to apply
- Medical degree (MD, DO, NP, PA) with current and unrestricted California license.
- Board certification or eligibility in Addiction Medicine, Psychiatry, or Addictions Nursing is preferred.
- DEA license and furnishing number (or the ability to obtain).
- A minimum of two years of experience in substance use disorder treatment, including MAT.
- Knowledge of harm reduction strategies, trauma-informed care, and integrated behavioral health models.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Job Overview
As an Addiction Specialist Medical Provider, you will conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with substance use disorders and develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans. You’ll prescribe and manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT) in alignment with federal and state regulations, providing compassionate care every step of the way. You will also offer counseling and education to patients and their families on substance use, treatment options, and recovery strategies. Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with behavioral health providers, case managers, and community resources to coordinate patient care. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation and participating in quality improvement initiatives will be essential aspects of the role.
