Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Acute Care Facility, Torrance area

Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA 90033




Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)




Shifts: Evenings & Nights Only, 5x8 with rotating weekends, Full-Time Hours (40hrs/week)




3pm -11:30pm or 11pm - 7:30am.




Duration: 13-week contracts, with extension




Benefits: Eligible after 60 days




Orientation: July Start Dates


 


Pay: $22-$25/hour




Overview:
Are you a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) seeking an exciting opportunity in acute care? Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group (CCWSG) is looking for CNAs with a Skilled Nursing or Acute care background to join a top-rate facility in Torrance.




This is an excellent opportunity for CNAs who can work independently while providing exceptional patient care.




Responsibilities:







    • Monitor patient condition during movement and report any changes to registered nurses or physicians.







    • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and respiration.







    • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including eating, grooming, and dressing.







    • Transfer patients between wards or rooms, and assist with positioning for examinations or treatments.







    • Ensure patient comfort by providing personal care services, such as changing linen, serving meals, and providing back rubs.







    • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment by cleaning and organizing patient areas.







    • Encourage patient participation in self-care activities and recreational therapy.







    • Escort patients to outside activities or appointments as needed.






 


Required Qualifications :

Requirements:



  • Minimum of 1 year of CNA experience.

  • Active CNA License in the state of California.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association at the start.

  • Fire Card by the start.

  • Management of Assaultive Behavior Certificate by the start.
