Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Location: Chula Vista, CA 91910
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekends are MANDATORY – schedule flexibility is a must!
Pay: $25.00 - $31.64/hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time Temp (4-month assignment with potential extension)
Position Summary:
We’re looking for a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) to join our busy urgent care team. You’ll play a key role in collecting lab specimens quickly and accurately while providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:

Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages

Accurately label and process specimens for lab analysis

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the phlebotomy area

Ensure proper patient identification and confidentiality

Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards

Provide excellent patient service with empathy and professionalism

Assist with documentation and data entry into electronic health systems

Collaborate with clinical team members to support workflow

Float to other locations as needed

Weekend coverage required as part of standard schedule

Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Experience: 1–2 years of medical laboratory experience preferred

Certification:

Current California Certified Phlebotomy Technician License

Current CPR certification preferred

Language: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required

Other: Proficient in medical terminology, reliable, and detail-oriented
