Requirements to apply:



  • MD or DO degree with board certification in Ophthalmology.

  • Successful completion of a fellowship program with a focus on refractive surgery and anterior segment procedures is essential. This training should encompass a wide range of surgical techniques related to refractive corrections, cataract surgery, and anterior segment disorders.

  • The candidate should demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in a variety of refractive procedures, such as LASIK and other laser vision correction surgeries, as well as anterior segment surgeries including cataract extraction and intraocular lens implantation.


We are actively seeking a skilled and board-certified Comprehensive/Refractive Anterior Segment Ophthalmologist to join our dynamic and thriving ophthalmology practice in Portsmouth, VA.


 


Job Overview      


We are actively recruiting a physician to join our integrated MD/OD practice, which currently consists of seven MDs and three ODs, specializing in Refractive, Cataract, and Anterior Segment care. This expansion is in response to the practice's growth, and the new physician will be employed full-time, Monday through Friday. Call rotation duties will be shared among the existing MDs, and hospital calls are not required. With an immediate ramp-up opportunity to fill a future vacancy due to a retiring physician, the primary office is situated in Portsmouth, VA, with additional locations in Chesapeake, VA, and Virginia Beach, VA. While the physician will primarily serve patients at the main Portsmouth location, periodic visits to satellite offices are expected. Our practice is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, supported by trained scribes to enhance clinic efficiency. Our exceptional staff is dedicated to providing outstanding customer service, fostering a positive patient experience environment.
