Lancaster or Palmdale (Float), CA


 


Requirements to Apply:



  • Bilingual: English / Spanish

  • Certifications: Dental Assistant Certificate, X-Ray, Infection control, and BLS/CPR 

  • Education/Degrees: HS Diploma or GED

  • Years of experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant


 


The Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic or in mobile oral health as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments supplies. This position will function as a Float between Palmdale and Lancaster clinic.


 


Schedule / Location:



  • Lancaster Home Base - 32 hours weekly - Tuesday - Friday weekly. Occasional float to Palmdale may be requested. 

  • Lancaster Home Base - 40 hours weekly - Tuesday - Saturday weekly. Occasional float to Palmdale may be requested. 



  • Palmdale Home Base - Monday - Friday, and 1-2 Saturdays per month at Lancaster. When you are booked for a Saturday you will have 1 weekday off instead.


Times: 7:45 am - 5:00 pm


Pay rate: $20 - $23 an hour (Depending on the years of experience)


 


Responsibilities:



  • Serve as Dentist Chairside Assistant

  • Prepares operation procedures for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions.

  • Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law

  • The Dental Assistant maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assists the dental director, and dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records and documents are filed correctly.

  • May be required to perform front office duties such as Scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, and managing balance due
