Dental Assistant II

Location: Shoreline, WA

Position Summary: 

This role supports dentists in procedures, patient exams, and maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work environment while ensuring patients feel comfortable.

Responsibilities: 

• Preparing and sterilizing exam rooms, instruments, and equipment.


• Assisting dentists with procedures and patient care (e.g., suctioning, providing instruments, mixing materials).


• Managing clinic flow, coordinating with providers and front office staff, and ensuring patient comfort.


• Documenting dental care in the electronic record system (EDR).


• Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and operating/maintaining autoclaves.


• Educating patients about oral hygiene after treatment.


• Training new hires and extern students.


• Maintaining inventory and tracking supplies.

Education: 

High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant program preferred.

Experience: 

Minimum of 1 year in dental assisting, with a preference for experience in pediatric dentistry or special health care needs.

Certification: 

Washington State Dental Assistant Registration.
