Requirements to Apply:



  • Education: Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene program accredited by the American Dental Association - Associates or Bachelors accepted

  • Licenses: Active Dental Hygiene License in state of Wisconsin

  • Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association

  • Years of experience: - New Grads Welcome! 1 to 2 years’ experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred

  • Preferred: Fluent Bilingual: English / Spanish


 


Schedule: 


Full Time - 36 Hours



  • Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12:30pm


Part Time - Flexible schedule within clinic hours to match your needs!

 

 

Pay Rate: $41 - $46 an hour (Depending on experience) 



  • Up to an additional $1 an hour for Bilingual Spanish

The Dental Hygienist provides educational, preventive and therapeutic services administering oral hygiene. Responsible for the planning, development and implementation of patient and family hygiene programs, operational procedures in accordance with Health Center policies and patient care.  Participation in Seal-A-Smile Programs (if interested). 


 


Responsibilities:



  • Provides comprehensive dental hygiene services to infant, children and adult patients which includes taking medical history; vital signs; charting; soft tissue exam; periodontal charting; scaling and root planning; x-rays; sterilization; treatment planning for hygiene; patient education and instruction. 

  • Works cohesively with all staff to develop a comprehensive prevention based education program for patients, community organizations and schools. 

  • Corresponds directly with the Dental Director regarding treatment planning and case management issues. 

  • Works with Dental Director and staff to ensure all safety, OSHA, and Health Care Standards are being adhered to by staff and students. 

  • Works as part of a team to assure that patients are treated professionally and efficiently. 

  • Assists with strategic planning initiatives, seeing objectives and acting to ensure objectives are realized. 

  • Networks with other dentists, hygienists, and health care workers in the region to support the dental program and the Health Center as a whole. 

  • Speaks to civic and other service groups on Dental topics as requested. 

  • Participates in all safety programs which may include assignment to an emergency response team. 

  • Participates in all training programs. 

  • Actively participates and is accountable for duties assigned that support the Mission and Values of being certified as a Patient Centered Medical Home. 

  • Follows all the company policies, procedures, regulatory and legal requirements. 

  • Completes required trainings on time. 

  • Other duties as assigned.
