Dental Receptionist - Bilingual Spanish

Los Angeles – Skid Row, CA


 


Must have these requirements to be considered:







      • Fluent Bilingual English/Spanish REQUIRED







      • One year’s experience working in a dental office environment 







      • Knowledge of general office procedures.







      • Knowledge of Eligibility Screening and LA County information system.







      • Typing skills at 35 words/minute.







      • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.







      • Experience in working with clients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.







      • Must have- Denti-Cal, PPO, HMO, OSHA and HIPAA Knowledge







The Dental Receptionist is responsible for financial screening of all clients for state certification of eligibility, reception area duties, responding to client questions and providing directions to clients.




 




Location: Skid Row Los Angeles, CA 




Full Time Hours:  



  • Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. 1-2 rotating Saturdays/month - 7:45 am to 5:00 pm

  • Wednesday 9:45 am to 7:00 pm 

  • Thursday 8:45 am to 6:00pm 

  • If you are booked for a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off instead


Pay Rate:  $21.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience



  • Dental Assistants or Registered Dental Assistants willing to do front desk can receive pay up to $26.00 per hour




Responsibilities:





      • Schedule appointments on the phone or in person.







      • Screen all clinic patients/clients for eligibility.







      • Review medical charts for eligibility or re-certification.







      • Ensure that all patients have clinic ID card, HAP or Medi-Cal card and have signed a current General Consent Form.







      • Log patient names on daily register and disposition on log sheet.







      • Complete designated information on various forms such as Encounter, Certification Information and Sterilization Billing Reports in accord with requirements.







      • Ensure patient clinic/cards are stamped on all the appropriate sheets/forms.







      • Ensure that Medi-Cal card is photocopied and attaches receipt to Encounter Form.
