Job Overview: Director of Surgical Services


Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Surgical Services is responsible for the oversight and management of Surgical Services, including 2 Operating Rooms, 1 Scope Room, and the Ambulatory Surgery Unit (ASU). This hands-on leader will guide a team of 15 FTEs and 2 Sterile Processing staff, ensuring high standards of patient care, safety, and operational excellence.

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Surgical Services Department

  • Ensure compliance with CMS Conditions of Participation and other regulatory requirements

  • Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management

  • Collaborate with physicians and other departments to ensure quality care and efficient operations

  • Promote a positive, team-centered work environment

  • Respond effectively in emergency situations and maintain high clinical standards
