Family Practice Physician


Salary Range $260,000 - $350,000 (depending on location)


 


Requirements to apply:



  • Medical Degree (MD, DO) with a minimum of 3 years of Family Practice Residency.

  • At least two (2) years' experience in public health.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

  • Required certifications: CA Medical License, DEA Certificate, BSL certification.

Job Overview      
In this role, the Family Practice Physician conducts thorough patient evaluations, reviewing medical records and eliciting comprehensive medical histories. They perform physical examinations, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to diagnose conditions accurately. Treatment plans, including medication prescriptions and vaccinations, are determined based on state guidelines and clinic regulations. The physician promotes preventive health measures and provides patient education on diet, hygiene, and disease prevention. Additionally, they perform surgical procedures within their competency and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Documenting patient encounters electronically and following up on patient progress are integral parts of the role. The physician also oversees family planning services, maintains provider goals, and participates in health education activities. Supervision of mid-level providers and readiness to respond to emergency situations, including code situations, are essential responsibilities. The schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as needed.
