Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Full Time / Hours between 8am & 4:30pm.
Pay: $23 - $ 26 - Depending on Experience
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Job Summary:
The Health Educator provides Comprehensive Prevention Education and outreach to diverse populations in a variety of settings. Provides support to Project Manager with implementation of curriculum and work plans for several grants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health education to patients/clients/community members as directed by the Program Manager
- Review health education materials for content and cultural appropriateness.
- Identify and research additional educational resources, as needed, to support and reinforce healthcare and health education messages.
- Assist in the development of the health education work plan
Work Environment:
Traveling to clinics and Hospitals
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese depending on location preferred.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to speak in front of groups during presentations.
- Self-motivated and creative.
- Computer literate absolutely necessary
Required Qualifications :
Specifications:
Bachelors Degree in Science in Health Science with an emphasis in Community Health Education or related field
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years experience or internship in health care field or community outreach
