HIS Specialist – Temporary Assignment
Location: Santee, CA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $25.03 - $28.09 - $31.64/hour
Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (2–3 months with potential for extension)


Requirements:




  • Bilingual in English and one of the following: Spanish, Tagalog, Arabic, Chaldean, or Vietnamese




  • 1–2 years of experience in Health Information Services or Medical Records




  • High School Diploma or GED




  • Valid Driver’s License (clean and clear)




  • Medical Terminology Certificate preferred




Position Summary:
Seeking a detail oriented HIS Specialist to support medical records operations in a busy outpatient clinic. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, values confidentiality, and is ready to jump in for a high-impact temporary assignment.


 


Required Qualifications :

Key Responsibilities:




  • Maintain, organize, and retrieve medical records accurately and efficiently




  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy guidelines




  • Handle records requests and release of information processes




  • Work closely with clinical teams to support documentation needs




  • Enter, update, and audit EMR systems




  • Assist with scanning, indexing, and filing medical documents




  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff regarding record inquiries




  • Maintain tracking logs and data accuracy




  • Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and reports




  • Travel locally as needed for file transport or cross-site support
