Location: Los Angeles, CA

Schedule: Full Time / Hours between 8am & 4:30pm.

Pay:  $25 - $27 - Depending on Experience

Job Type: Temporary Assignment

Job Summary: Under the general supervision and within the regulatory scope of practice, assist in the provision of direct patient care by performing routine patient care procedures, technical and clerical supportive services in the clinic setting. The M.A. may administer intramuscular, subcutaneous or intra-dermal injections and may perform skin tests, administer oral medication, venipunctures and skin punctures for blood specimens.

•  Exposure to medical clinic setting.

Required Skills and Abilities:

1. Ability to read, write and speak in a clear and professional manner. 

2. Ability to understanding medical terminology. 

3. Excellent customer service skills. 

4. Medical Assisting - front and back office duties. 

5. Thorough, detail oriented, able to follow through and work semi-independent. 

6. Knowledge of DHCS, OSHA and safety regulations. 

7. Knowledge of HIPAA Guidelines including the Protected Health Information (PHI) privacy requirements.

Physical Requirements: 

1. Walking, talking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10#’s.

 2. Talking and hearing are essential to effectively communicate with patients, clients, and staff.
