Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)


Location: Chula Vista, CA 91910


Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:00 AM -5:00 PM


Pay: $31.52 - $40.37/hour 
Requirements: 6+ months of MLT experience


Job Type: Full-Time Temp (4 months, with potential extension)




Position Summary:


Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to perform routine lab work in a fast-paced urgent care setting. Must be detail-oriented and clinically confident.


Responsibilities:




  • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures




  • Accurately collect, label, and analyze specimens




  • Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment




  • Follow safety and infection control protocols




  • Document and report lab results according to policy




  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support patient care




  • Monitor quality control and calibration logs




  • Troubleshoot basic instrument and testing issues




 


 


Required Qualifications :

 




  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent




  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience as an MLT




  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician 




  • CPR Certification 




  • Strong understanding of medical terminology




  • Bilingual in English/Spanish (preferred)
