Salary Range $121,000 - $141,000


 


Requirements to apply:



  • California Optometric License: Must hold a valid license to practice optometry in California.

  • DEA Certificate: Current registration is required.

  • CPR Certification: Must have a valid certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

  • Driver's License: A valid California driver’s license is necessary, along with the ability to travel between locations as needed.

  • Educational Background: Must have an OD degree from an accredited School of Optometry.

  • National Provider Identifier (NPI): You must have an NPI or be able to obtain one before your employment start date.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bilingual Skills: Being bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

  • Diverse Experience: Experience working with clients and staff from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds is preferred.

Job Overview


We are seeking an Optometrist to join our team in Lancaster, CA. In this role, you will perform routine vision and ocular examinations to provide appropriate corrective lenses and medical eye care. You will diagnose and manage ocular conditions, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, while also prescribing contact lenses and vision therapy. You will order lab tests and imaging as needed and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Additional responsibilities include performing minor surgical procedures, evaluating patients for systemic diseases like diabetes and hypertension, and participating in training optometry students and interns. You will collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate care and contribute to quality assurance activities.
