Requirements to apply:
- Current California Optometric License
- State of California Certification for the treatment of ocular disease
- State of California Certification for the treatment of glaucoma
- A Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) Degree from an accredited optometry school
- Current CPR certification
- Experience/familiarity with computers, Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel), business e-mail communication systems and internet search capabilities

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated full-time Optometrist to join our team in providing comprehensive eye care to a diverse patient population. This role involves performing routine and medical eye exams, diagnosing and managing eye conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient outcomes. Key responsibilities:
Provide direct outpatient care to clinic patients while ensuring quality assurance standards are met. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive eye examinations, performing sight testing, diagnosing visual disorders and eye diseases, and determining appropriate treatment plans. Deliver and oversee treatment for a range of conditions, including glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetes-related eye complications.
· Participate in quality assurance, quality improvement, and utilization review activities
· Conduct comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages to detect injuries, diseases, abnormalities, or vision defects
· Perform eye exams and fit patients for spectacles or contact lenses
· Write referral communications to physicians and specialists as needed
· Interpret and analyze retinal scans
· Prescribe medications for various eye conditions
· Contribute to the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality eye care
· Engage in utilization and peer review programs to evaluate the quality of optometry services and staff performance at the clinics
