Pharmacy Patient Assistance Coordinator


Location: San Ysidro 92173
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $22.13 – $33.20/hour (depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, 3-Month Temp Assignment




Requirements (Must-Haves):




  • Current and active California Pharmacy Technician license (required)




  • Valid CA Driver’s License with insured personal vehicle




  • Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred




  • 2+ years of experience in pharmacy support, case management, or healthcare coordination




  • Able to travel between clinics as needed




Position Summary:


Support patients in gaining access to free or low-cost medications through pharmaceutical manufacturer assistance programs. This role includes in-person outreach, program enrollment, documentation handling, and consistent follow-up with patients and healthcare partners.


 




  • Submit and track applications to manufacturer assistance programs




  • Educate patients and providers on available options and eligibility




  • Gather and upload required documents to verify patient information




  • Maintain accurate case records and follow up as needed




  • Meet with patients in clinics to assist with applications




  • Coordinate with providers, pharmacy, and support staff




  • Provide updates and renewals for continuing assistance




  • Support outreach efforts to encourage internal pharmacy usage




  • Participate in training, reporting, and internal team collaboration




  • Assist with special projects as assigned




 


Required Qualifications :

 




  • Active CA Pharmacy Technician license (required)




  • High School Diploma or GED




  • 1+ year of customer service experience




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR (EPIC preferred)




  • Strong written and verbal communication skills




  • Familiarity with medical and pharmaceutical terminology




  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple cases with deadlines
