Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group is hiring a Phlebotomist is Santa Barbara.

Phlebotomist:

Pay: $27-$32 DOE

Location: Santa Barbara, CA

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Job Duties:

·       Verifies identity of patients to have blood drawn, instruct patients regarding sample collection requirements and procedures, and draws blood from patients either by venipuncture or capillary puncture.

·       Logs specimens: assigns specimens, creates labels, time stamps laboratory form, stores specimens for processing, transport.

·       Prepares primary planting of specimens for bacteriological studies and centrifuges specimens in preparation for testing.

·       Follow all safety guidelines.

·       Learn clinical or public health terminology.

·       Responds to in-person and telephone requests from providers, patients, clinic staff.

·       Ensure adequate inventory levels in laboratory.

·       Cleans laboratory working surfaces and disposes of biohazardous waste in accordance with the waste management plan.

Requirements:

Possession of a valid Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Certificate issued by the State of California Department of Health Services.
