Position Summary:
Join our vibrant interdisciplinary team in a rewarding environment where you’ll help support frail elderly participants within our PACE Program. Under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) will assist with assessments, implement treatment plans, and support participant care both onsite and, occasionally, during home visits.
Responsibilities:

Assist Physical Therapist with participant assessments and treatment plans.

Implement individualized therapy programs under PT supervision.

Educate participants, caregivers, and staff on therapy techniques and adaptive equipment.

Document care activities and participant progress in a timely, accurate manner.

Support minor equipment repairs, maintenance, and inventory control.

Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings and care plan development.

Promote safety and use appropriate body mechanics during therapy activities.

Provide minor training in body mechanics and adaptive device usage.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold HIPAA compliance at all times.

Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives and department operations.

Education: Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.

Experience: One year working with elderly populations preferred; completion of three 8-week clinical rotations (geriatric experience ideal).
