PSYCHOLOGIST - Dorchester, MA



Must have the following qualifications for consideration:



  • Valid State of MA License as Ph.D, Psy.D

  • 2 years' experience providing therapy in individual, family, or group modalities

  • 2 years' experience providing integrated behavioral health services in primary care

  • 1 year of clinical experience providing treatment to to youth and/or elderly patients

  • Experience with diverse populations

  • Experience with independent psychological testing 



As the only PSYCHOLOGIST on the team (family practice model), this role provides direct psychotherapy services to Behavioral Health patients (all ages); assists Director in clinical functions of the department, including management of integrated behavioral health services in primary care; develops and implements policies and procedures; collects data and develops reports.



SCHEDULE: FULL TIME; Mon - Fri 

HOURS: 8a-5p (w/one evening session per week)

SALARY: up to $110k DOE



LOAN REPAYMENT - Up to $25k each year for 2 years!!!

Job is located at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and site is eligible for Federal Loan Repayment Programs (National Health Services Corps) and State Loan Repayment Programs (https://nhsc.hrsa.gov/).

 


RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Performs intakes, evaluations, and provides therapy. 

  • Participates in primary care teams, Office Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) teams, and on treatment teams focusing on behavioral issues using brief therapies, crisis management and providing consultations to providers.

  • Facilitates trainings, case conferences, and conducts Utilization Review.

  • Obtains insurance authorization, tracks visits and obtains re-authorization.

  • Completes comprehensive assessment, quarterly treatment updates, and discharge summaries.

  • Completes psychological testing within parameters of certification.

  • Performs collateral case work when necessary.

  • Provides clinical supervision for BH staff and/or interns, supervises student interns and completes evaluations.

  • Attends case conferences and and in-services as required.
