Radiology / Mammography Technician Lead 


 


Location: Will float to two clinics in Milwaukee, WI


Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:00pm


Pay: $28.21 - $39.49 per hour, based on years of experience


Job Type: Full Time


 


Requirements



  • Advanced training beyond High School includes completing an accredited or approved program in Radiologic Technology.

  • Registered Technologist (RT) registration issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

  • Must have supervisor experience


Job Summary


Responsible for all testing performed by staff technologists in compliance with the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) Annual Inspection.



Responsibilities



  • Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques.

  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

  • Review the patient's medical record to obtain necessary clinical information, including patient history, lab results, and physician orders, and obtain each patient's breast health history.

  • Performs scans and identifies breast anatomy, distinguishing normal from abnormal, to establish initial evaluation of images. Adapts imaging techniques to improve screening quality.

  • Evaluate the mammographic image for positioning, technique, artifacts, and compression, and repeat images as necessary. Compares requisitions to physician orders to ensure ordered exam accuracy.

  • Assists with all IT functions, including PACS and Radiology software.

  • Establishes IT connectivity and training for new staff.
