This individual is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures and patient care and follow up as appropriate to job. This may includes general diagnostic procedures to advanced procedures involving specialized areas. This job requires the ability to make independent decisions and perform well under stress. Must be skilled in providing care for newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
Job Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology; four year program is preferred.
- Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography or equivalent certification.
- Must be licensed by the State of Florida.
- BLS required or expected to obtain upon hire.

Salary/Pay Scale/Differentials:

X-Ray (includes multi-modality) - $25.80 - $39.57
Shift Differential
Nightshift 7p-7a 18%
Weekend Sat-Sun 10 %
Holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day)- 10 %
Required Skills/Certifications/Education:
- Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology; four year program is preferred.

Schedule: They do not do 10 hr or 12 hr shifts

Weekends/call/holidays required (rotating)

Why is this position open? How long has the position been open? Halifax is looking to add more Permanent/Core staff to their Radiology department to replace Travelers and improve continuity of care.
Who does this position report to? Techs report to Supervisors who report to Director.
Unit Details / Environment / Selling points: X-Ray currently provides 7500 scans/month (approx. 94,000 in 2023) across 3 sites within the area. Travel between locations may be required to support demand.
Most of the scanning equipment is all new Siemens technology however they do still have some older GE scanners that they are working to upgrade.
Good group of physicians on staff - hospital is also staffed by many long tenured people. Andrea has been with Halifax for 20+ years.
Halifax handles Level II Trauma patients as well as STEMI and stroke. They have a community feel and are a pillar of the region.
