Salary Range:  $300,000 - $320,000


 


Requirements to apply:



  • Licensure: Unrestricted NY State medical license.

  • Board Certification: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Practice (Geriatric Medicine preferred).

  • Medical Degree: MD or DO Medical degree from an accredited institution.

  • Experience: Experience in Geriatrics through residency, fellowship, or practice. 3+ years of staff supervision experience and value-based care, advanced primary care, startups, or managed care.

  • Preferences: 1+ year of experience working with frail or elderly populations, or willingness to complete PACE training.

  • Location: Ability to travel from site to site as needed with occasional home visits.



Seeking an experienced Regional Medical Director to lead comprehensive healthcare services for a diverse elderly population in Manhattan, overseeing clinical and administrative operations while enhancing patient care in a dynamic, nonprofit environment dedicated to improving the lives of participants in community-based settings.


 


Job Overview


The Regional Medical Director is responsible for overseeing the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of delivering high-quality medical care to patients at two Day Treatment Centers in Manhattan. This role requires strong leadership experience, as the Medical Director supports the C-suite and manages a team of at least 10 staff members. The position involves a balance between administrative duties (60%) and clinical care (40%), with 3 days dedicated to administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include overseeing medical practice, ensuring proper staffing, leading performance appraisals, and supervising the quality of care provided by the interdisciplinary team. The Medical Director plays a crucial role in developing policies, improving care outcomes, and managing quality assurance programs. Additionally, the role requires collaboration with other medical organizations, serving on committees, and supporting new provider recruitment and onboarding. This position also involves understanding population health, managed care principles, and leading clinical design initiatives. The Medical Director must be data-driven, skilled in quality improvement methods, and able to implement programs that improve care for high-risk patients. Clinical coverage and care planning are required when needed, with a focus on patient-centered care and ensuring positive outcomes.
