Registered Dental Assistant - RDA - Mobile Dental Unit


 


You must have the following qualifications to be considered:



  • Bilingual: Spanish/English required

  • Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant in CA

  • Certifications: CPR/First Aid, Coronal Polishing, X-Ray & Pit and Fissure Sealants (will be required within 60 days upon the date of hire)

  • High School or GED certificate required

  • Years of experience: minimum of 1 year of Registered Dental Assistant experience 


 


The Registered Dental Assistant assists the dentist(s) in providing primary care services in mobile oral health as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instrument supplies.


 


Schedule: Monday- Friday, occasional weekends required


Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm


Pay Rate: $22.00 - $28.00 (Depending on years of experience)


 


Responsibilities:



  • The Registered Dental Assistant serves as dentist chair side assistant 

  • Assist patients in resolving minor difficulties, answering their questions and giving directions to patients as authorized by dentist

  • Prepares operation procedure for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions

  • Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law

  • Maintains all Dental Department equipment in accordance with manufacturer's directions

  • Maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assist dental director, dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly 

  • Receives and places necessary telephone calls consistent with a professional manner

  • May be required to preform front office duties such as: Scheduling, confirming appointments, verify insurance, check patients in and out, collect co-pay, and manage balance due
