South LA Float - Bell Gardens Primary Location






 Requirements to Apply:











      • Willingness to travel to locations in South LA. Expected to be localized to Bell Gardens Clinic for approximately 2-4 months, then float to other clinics as asked. Reliable transportation is a must!













      • Fluent Bilingual: English / Spanish - REQUIRED













      • Certifications: Registered Dental Assistant License in the state of CA - current and in good standing or Dental Assistant Certificate, X-Ray, Infection control, and BLS or CPR card













      • Education/Degrees: HS Diploma/GED, completion of Dental Assisting program













      • Years of experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant








 






The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic or in mobile oral health as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments supplies. 






 




Schedule: Monday- Friday, with rotating Saturdays (1-2) a month. 






Times: 7:45 am - 5:00 pm






Pay Rates: 







    • Registered Dental Assistant - $22.00 to $26.00 per hour depending on knowledge and experience  







Responsibilities:




 







    • Provide coverage for colleagues while they are out, including maternity leaves, sick leaves, same day sick call outs, etc. in the South Los Angeles Area.







    • Serve as Dentist Chairside Assistant







    • Prepares operation procedures for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions.







    • Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law







    • The Registered Dental Assistant maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assists the dental director, and dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records are documents are filed correctly.







    • May be required to perform front office duties such as Scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, and managing balance due
