Join us at Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group as a Clinic Registered Nurse, serving the vibrant community of East Hollywood, CA.


Position Purpose


As a Clinic RN, you will be an integral part of our care team, delivering high-quality nursing care in a preventive health care setting. Your primary duties will include administering treatments, monitoring patient vitals, assisting physicians during examinations, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic. This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills to create a supportive and reassuring environment for our patients.


Principal Responsibilities



  • Conduct triage for walk-in patients, including vital signs and complete assessments.

  • Perform telephone triage via the Call-Center, adhering to established policies and procedures.

  • Complete TB screenings/readings and documentation.

  • Administer oral, IM, SC, and SL medications as needed.

  • Assist Medical Providers with procedures as necessary.

  • Manage I.V. placement and monitoring, including the infusion of I.V. fluids as ordered by the Provider.

  • Monitor acutely ill patients until they are stable for transport to the hospital or until paramedics arrive.

  • Address patient complaints and follow appropriate procedures to resolve any issues.

  • Provide patient education and teaching, and schedule patient hospital or specialist appointments as needed.

  • Assign daily nursing duties and identify and correct patient flow deficiencies.

  • Organize and maintain dispensary medication inventory, including the removal and proper disposal of expired medications.

  • Prepare and dispense medications as ordered by the Provider, including the completion of dispensed medication labels.

  • Place orders for medical supplies as needed.

  • Collaborate with the Clinic Administrator to improve systematic functions continuously.

  • Develop and monitor the communication network between the Medical Director, back office staff, social workers, providers, and external staff to improve continuity of care.

  • Educate, train, and motivate back office staff to their highest potential.

  • Monitor and maintain adherence to the Nursing Training Manual and Agency Policies and Procedures.

  • Perform other duties as required by the program and/or clinic.

Required Qualifications :

Requirements



  • Licensed by the State of California to practice as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current CPR card by the American Heart Association.

  • At least one year of experience in an ambulatory care setting.

  • Experience working with patients and staff from diverse socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

  • Valid California Driver's license and ability to travel to different sites.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

  • Commitment to providing compassionate and culturally sensitive care to underserved populations.
