Safety Specialist

Onsite-Corporate Office
Location: San Diego, CA 92173 (San Ysidro)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

Pay: $34 - $43 per hour, based on years of experience 
Job Type: Temporary 17 weeks

Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience required. 

Position Summary: 

Identify potential workplace hazards and create job hazard assessments for different positions.

Conduct worksite inspections and safety audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Deliver safety training to both on-site and remote employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols.

Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Maintain up-to-date incident databases, safety metrics, and OSHA 300 logs.

Support workers’ compensation claims management, working with employees, managers, and insurance carriers to ensure minimal lost or modified workdays.

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.


• Certifications: Current driver’s license with a good driving record over the past three years. 


• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) status preferred.


• Experience: 2 years of professional experience in workers’ compensation and/or workplace safety.
