Cross Country Workforce Solutions Group is hiring a Social Worker in Upland CA.
Social Worker:
Location: Upland, CA
Position Type: Temp
Pay: $33.00 - $35.00 DOE
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm
Job Duties:
Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating treatment or therapy approaches for inpatients, outpatients, family, and significant others in all phases of the comprehensive substance abuse program.
Responsible for counseling individuals or groups regarding resources or services available for treatment or to help combat relapses.
- Facilitate DMC/Prop 36 individual or crisis sessions and chart group and individual notes in a timely manner.
- Write TX plans in a timely manner.
- Write 6 month extensions in a timely manner.
- Write discharges in a timely manner
- Comply with Title 222 requirements for all the above.
- Call monthly Medi-Cal eligibility verifications for assigned caseload.
- Administer drug test to Prop 36 clients.
- Assist senior counselor in complex areas of social and psychological adjustment counseling.
- Maintain a closed system to follow-up on previously discharged persons by telephone and/or other means of communication, and complete records on follow-up activities.
- Perform individual and group counseling tasks.
- Create and maintain client files including but not limited to:

- Participate in educational activities in formal academic settings, treatment centers, or rehabilitation centers to improve knowledge of substance abuse and related areas.
- Provide a high-level of clinical expertise regarding severe and prolonged substance disorders and psychiatric disorders.
- Coordinate with all aspects of patient care and treatment; involve family, support system, and community agencies providing services to the patient in order to create an appropriate plan of recovery.
- Responsible for planning staff training in conjunction with program consultant.
- Develop and promote interest in the substance abuse field by speaking for community groups or by coordinating speakers or resource persons.
- reports and assist in research regarding community agency or clinic operation.
- Assist in the supervision of aids or trainees, and in the recruitment, selection, and training of program staff members, as necessary.
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
Education and Experience Requirements
- One of the requirements below must be met to qualify for this position:
- Master’s in social work, psychology, gerontology, or counseling.
- One (1) year of experience providing social services in one or more of the fields of aging, health, or long-term care services.
- Licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Bachelor’s degree in social work with 2 years of experience providing social services in one or more of the fields of aging, health, or long-term care services
