Surgical Technologist - Surgical Tech - FTE or Part Time Available - Tustin, CA

Requirements to Apply:

• Minimum Education: Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Tech Program required. 


• Req. Certification/Licensure: AHA Basic Life Support required. Certified Surgical Tech preferred.


• Minimum Experience: Six (6) months of previous of surgical tech experience. Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job. Understanding of basic medical terminology. Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English. Computer literacy and proficiency.

The Surgical Tech is responsible for assisting with direct patient care activities in the Operating Room. The Surgical Tech prepares and stocks the Operating Room before and after surgery, gathers clean and sterile supplies, sets sterile instrument fields, maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. Assists with proper positioning of patient while maintaining the privacy and dignity of the patient.   

Schedule: Full Time Days, or Part Time Variable available

Pay Rate: $26.90- $37.04 per hour

Daily Hours: 8 hours 

Responsibilities:

• The Surgical Tech creates and maintains sterile field before and during surgical procedures and initiations corrective action when break occurs.


• Ensures operating room environment is safe and sterile for patient and OR staff


• Ensures proper function, care and use of clinical equipment and supplies


• Disposes of waste, sharps, and specimens properly according to protocol
