Workday Payroll Analyst
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Schedule: Full Time / Hours between 8am & 5pm.
Pay: $20.66-$32 - Depending on Experience
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Job Summary:
The Workday Payroll Analyst position is responsible for handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. You will have a strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws, federal and state payroll regulations and requirements. You will have an understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen.
Key Responsibilities:
You must have a strong ability to maintain accurate data entry. Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Strong working knowledge with Advanced Excel Skills, and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Power Point, Outlook), and Database Management. Strong organizational, analytical skills and ability to interpret data and present to facilitate business decisions.
Work Environment:
Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 pounds), bend, etc., hand and wrist dexterity to utilize computer.
- Moderate sitting and standing. Minimal lifting, bending and stooping.
- Strong working knowledge with Advanced Excel Skills, and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Power Point, Outlook), and Database Management.
- Strong organizational, analytical, quantitative, logic and reasoning skills with ability to interpret data and creatively present to facilitate business decisions.
- Ability with handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Management, Business Administration, or another related field highly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with payroll required
- Previous experience with Workday required
- Previous experience working with CA labor and wage laws
- Prior experience using accounting software
